Better Know a Content Source - Technorati Favorites
This is the fourth in a 435-part series (give or take) on sources of syndicatable content for websites. Sites covered in this series offer tools to publish content from their site onto your own site.
Technorati Favorites
The popular blog search engine,
Technorati, offers a
Favorites feature that allows you to collect blogs you find interesting. After adding a few blogs to your favorites list, you can view the latest posts from all of those blogs at a single page. The posts from your favorites can be subscribed to using RSS (however, you could just subscribe directly to the blogs using your favorite RSS reader), or you can share your favorites with others a couple of different ways:
1. You can link to your faves, at www.technorati.com/faves/yourusername, like this:
http://technorati.com/faves/shoefiti 2. Or, you can syndicate the latest posts from your favorite blogs directly onto your site using
Technorati's Favorites Widget.
This works particularly well for blogs in niche markets where the author has picked favorite blogs related to the same subject. Personally, I find this more valuable than a blogroll since it gives your readers a taste of what your favorite blogs are writing about.
